DSC6139-MV Atlantic Conveyor Memorial
MV Atlantic Conveyor,was attacked on the 25th.May 1982 By two French Super Etendard Fighters of The Argentine Air Force each firing an Exocet missile at the Vessel. The Vessel caught fire,the fire becoming uncontrollable. When the fire had exhausted itself , on inspection there was nothing recoverable on the Vessel,the decision was made to sink her. Twelve men lost their Lives including the Captain Ian North.
