Battle Monument Stanley The Memorial Commemorates the Battle of the Falkland Islands fought on 8th.December 1914 the British Squadron consisting of:HMS Invincible,Inflexible,Carnarvon,Kent,Cornwall, Glasgow,Bristol,Canopus,Macedonia.
Under the command of Vice Admiral Sturdee destroyed the German Squadron. Under Vice Admiral Graf Von Spee.
A Commemoration Service is held Annually on the 8th.December.
